Accoding to Documentation/gpio.txt GPIO signals have paths like /sys/class/gpio/gpio42/ (for GPIO linux-sunxi#42). Existing version break compatability with program where used this interface. For example avrdude (avr programmer, module linuxgpio) work ok with this change (tested).

Currently when user changes link properties, TIPC first checks if
user's command message contains media name or bearer name through
tipc_media_find() or tipc_bearer_find() which is protected by RTNL
lock. But when tipc_nl_compat_link_set() conducts the checking with
the two functions, it doesn't hold RTNL lock at all, as a result,
the following complaints were reported:

In order to correct the mistake, __tipc_nl_compat_doit() has been
protected by RTNL lock, which means the whole operation of setting
bearer/media properties is under RTNL protection.

If usb_ep_autoconfig() fails (i.e. returns a null endpoint descriptor), we expect afunc_bind() to fail (i.e. return a negative error code). [ Upstream commit e87581f ] If usb_ep_autoconfig() fails (i.e. returns a null endpoint descriptor), we expect afunc_bind() to fail (i.e. return a negative error code). However, due to v4.10-rc1 commit f1d3861 ("usb: gadget: f_uac2: fix error handling at afunc_bind"), afunc_bind() returns zero, telling the caller that it succeeded. Accoding to Documentation/gpio.txt GPIO signals have paths like /sys/class/gpio/gpio42/ (for GPIO #42).
Existing version break compatability with program where use this interface. For example avrdude (avr programmer, module linuxgpio) work ok with this change (tested).
